School of Petroleum Technology which is constituent school of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University was started in the year 2007 with an objective to provide excellent academic programme in Petroleum Engineering. The School has been promoted by Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (GSPC) a Gujarat government undertaking, which is a leader in the energy sector.
School of Technology intends to focus on technological education, research and service that anticipates, and meets, the need of tomorrow’s world. It is expected that engineering graduates from School of Technology will care about issues that technology can make difference whether these issues are health, security, economic well-being or sustainability of world and value.
The Management School was first established as the Institute of Petroleum Management, Gandhinagar (IPMG) in 2006 by GERMI (Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute), established as a trust and a society by GSPC (Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation), a Government of Gujarat undertaking. Subsequently in 2007, when GERMI established PDPU.
PDPU has launched School of Liberal Studies which currently offers a Bachelor degree that equips a student to develop an array of intellectual skills, a variety of methodologies and ways of understanding our changing world, and a broad base of varied knowledge. In turn, such a Liberal Education establishes an invaluable foundation for more specialized study in one's.
Each Hostel of the University offers a variety of Social and Academic oriented activities that make it possible to learn more not only about you but also about those living in hostel.
Student Affairs >PDPU every year organizes an Annual Inter-College Sports Festival – “PETROCUP” it boasts itself as a messenger to spread an aura of sportsmanship, intensity, and competition with a message to “LEARN, PLAY AND WIN”.
PDPU Sports >This room is particularly built to keep the Culture alive in SLS. Students prepare and practice for their Dance, Music, Drama etc competition and SLS cultural activities in this room.
